Rebuild Ukraine Health & Rehabilitation
The full-scale war has had a big impact on Ukraine healthcare system: 2,285 medical facilities have been destroyed, critical infrastructure and equipment lost, and the number of injured and wounded has reached hundreds of thousands. According to the updated World Bank assessment (RDNA4), Ukraine requires at least USD 19.4 billion to fully restore its medical infrastructure.
Reconstruction efforts are underway through state funding and support from international partners and humanitarian organizations. In 2024, 124 damaged facilities were rebuilt and returned to operation.
Despite significant international aid, the scale of destruction requires both strategic and targeted support. The challenge is not only to rebuild but to create a modern, resilient, energy-efficient, and inclusive healthcare system.
In response, we continue the initiative of the international exhibition and conference Rebuild Ukraine: Health & Rehabilitation, first launched in Warsaw in June 2024. This year, the event will take place in Kyiv, offering a unique platform for direct engagement between Ukrainian healthcare institutions and international donors, NGOs, and humanitarian actors.
