Medical Facility Information

The polyclinic’s operations are aimed at improving the quality of medical care provided to the population, reforming primary healthcare, achieving planned targets, and developing preventive medicine. A day inpatient facility with a 60-bed capacity was operational, treating an average of 850 patients per year. The facility was equipped with physiotherapy equipment, a therapeutic physical training hall, a massage room, and a swimming pool, which enabled extensive rehabilitative treatment, averaging 21,867 procedures per year.
In the clinical diagnostic laboratory, an average of 190,000 tests were performed annually; the ultrasound diagnostics rooms conducted over 4,000 examinations, functional diagnostics — over 7,500 examinations, and the X-ray department performed over 16,800 radiological examinations.

The facility is a multidisciplinary hospital providing 24/7 medical care in the following areas: neurology (including stroke care), traumatology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.

- Area: The facility consists of three separate buildings (structural units), with a total area of over 35,000 m²- Year established: 1966

Average number of patients per month: Over 3,000 patients

INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS: With financial support from investors and international partners, the hospital has the potential to establish a modern rehabilitation unit with a total area of over 2,000 m². It would address the urgent need for rehabilitation of patients recovering from acute strokes, surgery, or injuries, with particular priority given to military personnel.

The project would also support the development of mental health recovery services for residents of Kharkiv and the surrounding region, which are located close to the frontline.

Identification of international partners; presentation of projects; attraction of donor funding; exploration of modern solutions for the recovery of healthcare infrastructure.

RECOVERY AND MODERNIZATION OF THE MUNICIPAL NON-PROFIT ENTERPRISE “CITY POLYCLINIC NO. 10 OF THE KHARKIV CITY COUNCIL” AT 19 METROBUDIVNYKIV STREET, KHARKIV

Estimated cost: USD 6,500,000

PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The project fully addresses accessibility barriers, ensuring the facility’s compliance with inclusivity requirements under DBN V.2.2-40:2018. The modernization will increase healthcare coverage from the current 50% to the target level of 100%. As a result, the number of patients with access to the guaranteed healthcare package is expected to reach 60,000 by 2029. The investment will also optimize budget expenditures through energy-efficient technologies and significantly improve working conditions for medical staff. The capital renovation will create a safe, accessible, and modern healthcare environment while ensuring the highest possible level of patient satisfaction.

REHABILITATION MODULE BASED ON AN UNFINISHED BUILDING WITH A TOTAL AREA OF OVER 2,000 M²

Estimated cost: UAH 145 million (approximately EUR 2.9 million)

PROJECT OBJECTIVE: To provide the population with qualified, accessible, timely, high-quality, and effective healthcare and a comprehensive range of rehabilitation services, focusing treatment on achieving meaningful patient outcomes.
PROJECT TASKS: To establish a modern healthcare model by expanding rehabilitation services for people requiring neurological, physical, and psychological rehabilitation, including military personnel and civilians injured during hostilities, as well as survivors of violence by the aggressor, including sexual violence.
The project envisages creating a modern Rehabilitation Module that will provide a comprehensive range of recovery and rehabilitation services within a single healthcare facility through the implementation of innovative technologies, international standards, evidence-based medicine, and scientific advances.
